IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data platforms. You will collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to ensure trusted data for analytics and AI use cases across client environments.

You will work across cloud-based data services, manage data models, and guide junior engineers while upholding security and performance standards in a hybrid delivery center setup.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python, SQL and data engineering tools or frameworks.
• Proven design and delivery of data pipelines and data platforms in professional settings.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data services and relational/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of robust data pipelines and platforms to support analytics and AI workloads.
• Build and maintain batch and streaming data solutions, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Design data models using relational or dimensional techniques based on analytics needs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data and AI solutions.
• Work with cloud data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure data security, performance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
