Job summary

Walmart in Bentonville, AR is hiring a Data Engineer III to design and deliver scalable data solutions. You will extract data, build pipelines in Google Cloud Platform, and develop models to empower analytics and governance.

The role requires a Master’s or equivalent in CS or related field (or Bachelor +2 years). You will collaborate across teams, perform testing, and deploy production code in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with dataflows in Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Scala and Python.
• Experience with BigQuery data warehousing and data pipelines.
• Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Sqoop, Hive, and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Identify analytics options to address business problems within analytics, big data and automation.
• Own delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others.
• Develop data models and data pipelines for analytics and governance.
• Write tests, documentation, and train end-users on data modeling and pipelines.
