Job summary

GlobalLogic in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Data Engineer with 5+ years of data engineering experience and strong Python skills. The role focuses on AWS data tech (S3, JSON, XML) and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/Jenkins, plus monitoring with CloudWatch, ELK, Dynatrace, and Prometheus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with advanced Python skills.
• Experience with AWS data technologies, including S3.
• Experience with JSON and XML formats.
• Nice to have – Healthcare Interoperability Tools experience (e.g., Intersystems, Lyniate, Redox, Mirth Connect).
• CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Monitoring & logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus.
• Source control with GitLab/GitHub/Gitea or similar.
• Documentation with Markdown and Antora for technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications in cloud development & engineering.
• Plan system and deployment development; ensure compliance and security standards.
• API development using AWS services in a scalable microservices architecture.
• Identify and fix performance and data handling issues; ensure data integrity and storage requirements.
• Document testing and maintenance of system updates and configurations.
• Liaise with technology vendors and other business functions as needed.
• Design technology solutions meeting company and customer needs.
• Assess platform functionality for business problems; determine customization needs.
• Test product quality and its ability to perform tasks.
• Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization across operating systems.
• Document detailed technical system specifications based on business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with global and local regulatory and security standards.
