Job summary

Goodfit is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory in Lansing, MI. Hybrid work arrangement and a 12+ month contract with in-person interview.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data engineering, strong T-SQL, Python or PySpark, and solid data modeling experience including Data Vault 2.0; mentoring and BI reporting familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong experience with T-SQL.
• Proficient in Python or PySpark.
• 2+ years with Fabric Pipelines or Azure Data Factory.
• 5+ years data modeling experience.
• Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 data modeling.
• Basic understanding of AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize T-SQL, Python, and PySpark code.
• Build data pipelines with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory; design data models with Medallion architecture.
• Develop solutions with Fabric components (Data Warehouse, Spark); use GitHub for source control; mentor junior team members; support Power BI reporting.
