Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a 6+ month contract in Bozeman, MT. You will own the design and delivery of data solutions, working independently while partnering with stakeholders to clarify requirements and drive execution across the full development lifecycle.

You will build backend services and RESTful APIs, develop cloud-native apps on AWS, and implement data pipelines while ensuring production readiness through testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Senior-level data engineering skills with hands-on Python and PySpark.
• Experience designing data models and building Databricks workloads.
• Proven ability to own delivery with minimal supervision and work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own timelines and deliverables, proactively managing scope, dependencies, and risks.
• Frame, design, and deliver software solutions with stakeholders; clarify requirements.
• Build backend services and RESTful APIs aligned to designs.
• Develop cloud-native apps, preferring AWS.
• Implement workflow automation and data pipelines as needed.
• Contribute across the full SDLC, including CI/CD.
• Ensure production readiness with testing, docs, and handover.
• Communicate progress, trade-offs, and changes in expectations as execution partner.
