Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join the MOTOR organization supporting Supply Chain Intelligence.

The role focuses on designing and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and BI-ready datasets to enable actionable insights for manufacturing, transportation, and reverse logistics within AWS datacenters. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in data engineering, SQL proficiency, and experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or EMR.

Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering experience.
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
Experience with SQL.
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
Experience mentoring team members on best practices.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the data infrastructure to answer questions with data using best practices.
Define data engineering processes leveraging AWS services to improve accessibility and data integrity.
Develop scalable solutions for faster product/model development.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, BI engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand requirements.
Interface with other teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
Lead the technical design and implementation of data infrastructure.
Design and manage data audit, quality, and reconciliation processes with stakeholders.
