Job summary

Connexions Data Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale robust data pipelines and data products for a 6-month remote engagement.

You will lead ingestion frameworks, Delta Live Tables pipelines, and medallion architecture to ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions across government cloud environments. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, Databricks experience, and a track record of delivering production-grade data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Databricks.
• Strong understanding of medallion architecture and data modelling.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and optimization.
• Familiarity with Government cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure/GC.
• Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data ingestion frameworks for batch and streaming data.
• Build and maintain Delta Live Tables pipelines for reliable data processing.
• Implement and optimize medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Develop high-quality, reusable, and production-grade data products.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization across pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data workflows.
