Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems analysis and software programming experience.

This is an intermediate-level Applications Development role responsible for building, implementing, and supporting enterprise data and ETL systems in close coordination with the Technology organization. The position blends hands-on systems analysis and programming with consultative engagement across business, client, and technology stakeholders throughout the full development lifecycle. Candidates will bring 5+ years of experience in systems analysis and software application programming, with proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects independently. This role carries meaningful technical depth across ETL/data warehousing, cloud orchestration, and multiple data platforms, positioning it as a strong fit for professionals seeking to operate as a subject matter expert while mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and risk technology assessments for proposed application systems.


• Implement new or revised application systems to meet evolving business needs.


• Monitor and manage all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.


• Provide operational support to business users across each phase of the development lifecycle.


• Apply deep knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems.


• Evaluate business and system processes to make sound, well‑reasoned judgments.


• Consult with users, clients, and technology teams to resolve issues.


• Recommend advanced programming solutions to address identified needs.


• Recommend and develop post‑implementation security measures to ensure system integrity and functionality.


• Define and enforce operating standards and procedures for application development activities.


• Serve as an advisor or coach to junior analysts.


• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) resource to senior stakeholders.


• Operate with limited supervision, exercising independence and autonomy in day‑to‑day decision‑making.


• Assess and manage risk responsibly in all business decisions.


• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.


• Proven track record of managing and implementing successful technology projects.


• Working knowledge of consulting techniques and project management methodologies.


• Ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt quickly to changing requirements.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.


• Experience with Data Warehouse and ETL design and development, including AbInitio (EME, GDE, Co‑op).


• Working knowledge of cloud and orchestration tools, including AWS Glue, AWS Athena, and Airflow.


• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, MongoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.


• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Unix shell scripting.


• Banking domain experience is required.


• Exposure to Big Data technologies, AI/ML trends, and compliance or regulatory knowledge is a plus.


• Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities, with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.


• Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
