Job summary

Niuro is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a U.S. tax technology company.

This is a focused 1 to 2 week, full-time contract for an expert who can improve the performance, cost efficiency, design, and reliability of an Amazon Redshift environment. You will review the current Redshift setup, tune keys and queries, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and enhance analytics-ready data models while documenting changes and operating practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with deep production expertise in Amazon Redshift or Redshift Serverless.
• Advanced SQL and demonstrated query tuning on large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, and Redshift Spectrum.
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, Glue, or similar ETL/ELT tools.
• C1 English and the ability to work independently with stakeholders.

Contract: 1 to 2 weeks, full-time. Remote in LATAM, excluding Argentina and Brazil, with overlap with U.S. Eastern Time. Compensation starts at USD 25 per hour.
