Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an experienced data engineer/architect to build scalable, production-grade data pipelines and AI-ready data assets on Microsoft Azure. You will shape the data foundation for enterprise AI use cases across the company, partnering with AI/ML teams and business units to deliver governed, scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architecture, data governance, and end-to-end pipeline delivery with a focus on Medallion patterns and lakehouse design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience designing cloud-based data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with Lakehouse, Medallion patterns, and production-grade pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines and data products on Azure to support Enterprise AI use cases.
• Design data architecture patterns to improve data quality, usability, and governance for AI workloads.
• Develop and optimize large-scale data processing solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and Azure services.
• Create AI-ready data assets for ML and generative AI applications, including vector search and RAG workflows.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Drive data integration, storage, transformation, and serving layer decisions for long-term AI roadmap.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation, observability, and operational readiness of data platforms.
