Job summary

Headfarmer seeks a senior data engineer to mature a high-volume data platform during an onshore transition. You will own ingestion pipelines across Bronze/Silver/Gold, implement data quality gates, and accelerate API-driven table creation for analytics and AI initiatives.

You will mentor junior teammates, collaborate with the Data Architecture Director, and help mature engineering practices and CI/CD. This on-site Phoenix role targets strong SQL, Python, API, and multi-cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production data engineering experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift or similar).
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions and performance tuning on real CRM data.
• Production Python experience valued; strong API integration and data reconciliation capabilities.
• Experience using AI tools to augment engineering work without replacing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Ingestion pipelines: call APIs, land data in staging, move to Bronze/Silver/Gold layers.
• Own data quality checks gating data from Bronze to Silver.
• Accelerate table creation for new API ingestion sources.
• Harden Silver layer with provenance views and reconcile dashboards across sources.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with the Data Architecture Director on complex decisions.
• Establish automated code review and CI/CD for the data pipelines.
