CoStar Group's Homes.com unit in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build out sitewide tracking and KPI dashboards, driving insights on consumer behavior and product usage.

You will design data architecture, maintain automated data infrastructure, and deliver data engineering solutions across departments. The role emphasizes AI-infused data workflows, cloud platforms, and scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college/university.
• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Solid foundation in OO programming and best practices.
• Experience building data-driven products at terabyte scale.
• Ability to translate requirements into robust architecture and data models.
• Hands-on cloud databases and BI tools experience (Power BI or similar).
• Familiarity with AI tooling and LLM concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee dimensional modeling, DB design, and cloud data platform structures (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Develop scalable ETL pipelines and data warehouses using Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS services.
• Implement and optimize Spark jobs and data processing workflows.
• Build and deploy AI/ML models within data pipelines and leverage AWS ML tools.
• Apply AI-assisted practices to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable data access and analytics.
• Ensure data governance, lineage, testing, and monitoring frameworks.
