Expedia Group is seeking a Data Engineer to own end-to-end data products and build scalable data services on modern cloud infrastructure. You will apply AI tools as a co-pilot and work across engineering, product, and data teams to deliver high-quality data experiences for partners and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes design, APIs, data modeling, and reliable pipelines, with mentoring responsibilities and strong CS fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in data engineering.
• Experience owning data products with end-to-end impact.
• Experience delivering at least one significant end-to-end service or product using AI tools.
• Hands-on system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling.
• Experience with batch and streaming data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve complex, business-critical data products end to end—from design to deployment and production support.
• Apply modern engineering practices and use AI as a co-pilot across the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, data, and business functions to align simple, resilient solutions.
• Design and integrate services, APIs, and data models for consumable data capabilities.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge, including AI tool usage in daily workflow.
