Job summary

Staffing Spot, Inc. is seeking a hands-on senior data engineer for a long-term role in Dallas, TX. Must have 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Ab Initio, 3+ years in GCP, and 2+ years in BigQuery; Teradata understanding is a plus.

The role is hybrid in Dallas and candidates must be local for onsite interviews. You will design, code, and test data pipelines, implement ETL/ELT processes, optimize SQL for Teradata and BigQuery, and manage data ingestion into BigQuery while coordinating

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of Ab Initio experience.
• 3+ years of GCP experience.
• 2+ years of BigQuery experience.
• Expertise with SQL/ETL.
• Experience with PySpark and Python.
• 4+ years of Agile and JIRA experience.
• Experience with technical stakeholder interactions.
• Enterprise level experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing, coding, and testing new data pipelines using Ab Initio.
• Implementing ETL/ELT Processes.
• Writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries for data manipulation, aggregation, and reporting; especially for Teradata and BigQuery.
• Data ingestion - develop and manage processes to ingest large volumes of data into BigQuery.
• Manage and monitor GCP resources used for data processing and storage.
• Optimize cloud data workloads.
