Job summary

Motion Recruitment in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on Ab Initio experience to support large-scale data platforms and modernization initiatives.

You will build enterprise ETL pipelines, develop Ab Initio graphs, and work with Oracle/SQL, data warehousing and data modeling within a hybrid environment (3 days onsite per week). Collaboration with architects and business stakeholders is essential as you contribute to cloud modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development.
• Experience building Ab Initio Graphs and performance tuning.
• Strong Oracle, PL/SQL and SQL skills.
• ETL, data warehousing and data modeling expertise.
• Unix/Shell scripting experience.
• CI/CD and SDLC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance enterprise ETL/data pipelines using Ab Initio, Python, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Develop complex Ab Initio graphs and Psets and perform performance tuning.
• Work with Oracle, Teradata, data warehousing and data modeling.
• Support large-scale System-of-Record (SOR) integrations and complex data workflows.
• Contribute to data migration and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with upstream/downstream teams, architects and stakeholders.
• Leverage GitHub, Jenkins, Harness and uDeploy within CI/CD processes.
