Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a senior Data Engineer to build and maintain large-scale data pipelines and optimise our data platform for speed and cost. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs and monitor data accuracy across systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Data Engineer experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and hands-on cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure). A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.

To succeed in this role, you should have

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Advanced proficiency with SQL
• Proficiency with Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
• Experience using version control tools such as git
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with the following would be a plus

• Data governance
• Building and deploying machine learning models
• Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools
