Job summary

Noir is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform end-to-end, setting standards for data modelling, security and governance. You will design data products, contracts and guardrails for AI agents, enabling scalable data services across the business.

We require deep SQL/T-SQL on SQL Server/Azure SQL, strong Python (PySpark), and hands-on experience with Databricks, Synapse or Microsoft Fabric, Delta/Parquet, and Power BI semantic modelling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL and data modelling.
• Strong Python (PySpark) experience.
• Experience with Databricks, Synapse or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with BI modelling in Power BI.

They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of the data platform end to end. They need someone to set the standards for how data is modelled, secured and governed. Their software delivery is increasingly agentic, using AI agents, but they need a talented Data Engineer to design the data products, contracts and guardrails those agents rely on.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a deep knowledge of SQL and T-SQL on SQL Server / Azure SQL, data modelling experience and strong Python (PySpark, notebooks). Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is required, or at least Databricks / Synapse and the Delta / Parquet ecosystem, as well as Power BI semantic modelling. You will also need an understanding of information security and data protection in an engineering context and be comfortable using AI agents and assistants as part of how you build.
