Job summary

CHASSE Building Team is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure powering our analytics and AI initiatives. You will develop scalable data pipelines, integrate systems, automate ETL/ELT processes, and govern data assets to support reporting with Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our business. This role will be instrumental in developing scalable data pipelines, integrations, automation, and governance while supporting the organization's growing analytics and AI initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
• Develop and support API integrations between internal and third-party applications.
• Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT processes.
• Add new data sources and automate data movement across business systems.
• Partner with our Business Intelligence Engineer to deliver high-quality datasets for Power BI reporting.
• Develop internal applications and workflow automation using Airtable.
• Document data architecture, integrations, and workflows.

AI Data Enablement

• Build data pipelines supporting structured and unstructured data.
• Prepare construction documents, PDFs, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for AI applications.
• Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures through data preparation and vector database ingestion.
• Create scalable data structures that support agentic AI applications and intelligent automation.
• Help ensure company data is organized, accessible, and AI-ready.

Data Governance

• Help establish enterprise data standards and naming conventions.
• Improve data quality, lineage, metadata management, and documentation.
• Support data cataloging and governance initiatives.
• Contribute to the evolution of our Microsoft data platform, including Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview.

Qualifications

Required

• 8–12+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable data solutions.
• Interest in modern data governance and AI-ready data architectures.

Preferred

• Experience in construction or other project-based industries.
• Experience with ERP, financial, or project management systems.
• Experience processing unstructured data.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or AI data architectures.
• Experience implementing data governance initiatives.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar governance platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud data platforms.
• Python experience for data processing, automation, or AI-related workflows.
