PetSmart LLC seeks a full-time Senior Data Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for creating sustainable reporting, analytic, and data solutions to meet business needs, create business value, and drive outcomes. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions by utilizing our enterprise technologies and architecture. Specific duties include:
Tools and technologies utilized in this position include SQL scripting (Netezza, SQL Server, and Snowflake); Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Agile development to plan and organize work activities for team execution; and enterprise technologies and architecture, including MicroStrategy, Denodo, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Big Data.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field and five (5) years of related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Must also have five (5) years of experience with each of the following:
Must also have three (3) years of experience with designing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from multiple sources (APIs, flat files, RDBMS, Web) using ETL/ELT and Python-based frameworks. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program.
