Verse Medical is building the modern software infrastructure to deliver hospital-quality care to everyone, everywhere. We are a well-funded Series C company actively expanding our data platform in a hybrid New York–based office.

The Senior Data Engineer will design and scale data pipelines, build robust data models, and partner with engineers, data scientists, and operations to ensure reliable, accessible data for analytics and product decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering, analytical engineering, or data architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience building complex, high-performance queries.
• Deep experience with modern data stack tools, including data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte), transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), and modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Proven ability to design, build, and scale end-to-end data infrastructure, including pipelines, schemas, dimensional models, analytics layers, and ML-ready datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, privacy, and observability best practices.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: Experience leading full-stack data architecture and making strategic data platform decisions.
• Preferred: Experience with data platform migrations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated data (HIPAA compliance).

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We're hiring a Data Engineer to join our team and help build the foundation of Verse's data infrastructure. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one role where you'll help design and scale the data architecture that powers critical product and operational systems. You'll work closely with engineers, data scientists or operations teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and actionable across the organization.
