Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms on AWS. The role focuses on batch and streaming data processing and analytics enablement for ML workloads.

Hybrid work arrangement with some onsite presence in McLean, VA is required; W2 consultants are offered a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $65.00–$75.00 per hour W2.

Formación

• Proficiency in Python and/or Scala for data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS EMR and Glue.
• Experience with Kafka streaming and REST APIs; SQL and data warehousing knowledge.
• AI/ML engineering exposure is a plus.

Description:

Hybrid 3 days onsite in McLean, VA

Our client seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms on AWS. The role will focus on batch and streaming data processing, integration across enterprise services, and enablement of analytics and machine learning workloads.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Scala.


• Develop and operate data processing workflows on AWS services including EMR and Glue.


• Implement real-time data ingestion and processing with Kafka streaming.


• Create and manage REST API integrations for data exchange.


• Optimize SQL queries and data models to support analytics and ML use cases.


• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across pipelines.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and compliant data solutions.

Experience Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency with Python and/or Scala for data engineering.


• Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as EMR and Glue.


• Proven background in Kafka streaming and event-driven architectures.


• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.


• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.


• Exposure to AI or machine learning engineering preferred.
