Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern data platform from the ground up in a healthcare-focused organization. You will own architecture, standards, and platform direction, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure reliable analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities include building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing cloud data storage, and enforcing data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and data infrastructure.
• Proven expertise building and managing data pipelines within AWS environments.
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and pipeline management.

This role will be responsible for building scalable data infrastructure, enabling analytics and reporting capabilities, and delivering reliable data solutions that support both operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong cloud data engineering expertise with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This position offers significant ownership over architecture, standards, and platform direction while providing mentorship to junior team members.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record or healthcare operations environments.
