Job summary

Gosnaphop in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own data platforms, pipelines, and integrations within energy trading contexts.

This role is hands-on and independent, requiring strong collaboration with business stakeholders to enable pricing, trading operations, analytics and forecasting.

You will optimize data quality, drive architectural decisions, and support existing pipelines while building new connections across commercial, pricing and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Data Engineering experience.
• Energy, power, commodities, or trading industry experience – REQUIRED.
• ETRM system experience – REQUIRED (PCI strongly preferred).
• Strong Python, SQL, NoSQL, and Power BI.
• Hands-on Snowflake or comparable data lake/platform experience, such as Databricks.
• Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines and integrations.
• Understanding of pricing data, trading workflows, market operations, and/or commercial energy data.
• Ability to independently own technical solutions from requirements through execution.
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders.

Senior Data Engineer – Houston, TX

Salary Range: $160,000-$175,000

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly independent Data Engineer with prior energy industry and ETRM experience who can take requirements, determine the right technical approach, and build and troubleshoot solutions with minimal oversight.
