Senior Data Engineer

As a member of the Science Research Technology team, you will help design, build, and scale data-driven solutions for the Science Analysts, especially in the Equity space.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and business partners to meet analytical needs.
• Implement data modeling, warehousing, governance, and metadata management best practices.
• Ensure high performance, optimization, and fault tolerance of data pipelines.
• Implement CI/CD, containerization, and modern software engineering practices for deployment.
• Participate in Agile development and deliver solutions in fast-paced, mission-critical settings.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Science.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using orchestration tools such as Airflow or Glue.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, Lambda, Batch).
• Experience with modern data architectures: Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, containerization (Docker), and modern software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience deploying and testing cloud solutions (AWS preferred).
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning of high-volume data pipelines.
• Financial-services data domain expertise preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across teams.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and deliver in fast-paced settings.
• Proactive problem-solver who can independently drive solutions end-to-end.
• 5+ years of experience in a related role.

Compensation

Base salary range: USD 90,000 – 180,000.
