Job summary

Kovoro, based in the Seaport area, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the analytical data platform end to end. You will oversee ingestion via connectors, transformation with dbt on Snowflake, orchestration with Airflow, and serving through a customer-facing analytics API.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; advanced dbt experience required.
• Production experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift at meaningful scale.
• Comfort designing and operating Airflow or Dagster pipelines.
• Experience with data contracts, lineage tooling, and producer/consumer governance models.

Responsibilities

Our client is a Series B B2B SaaS company headquartered in the Seaport. Their product is used by procurement and finance teams at large enterprises to analyze and optimize SaaS spend, and the analytics surface area is a meaningful piece of the product itself — not just an internal BI tool.

As Senior Data Engineer you will own the analytical data platform end to end: ingestion via Fivetran and custom connectors, transformation in dbt on Snowflake, orchestration via Airflow, and serving via reverse ETL and a customer-facing analytics API. You will partner with Product, ML, and Finance on data modeling, define the data contracts that govern producer/consumer relationships, and mentor 2–3 mid-level data engineers.

The role is ideal for an engineer who has worked deeply with the modern data stack and wants to influence both the technical platform and the way the company thinks about data as a product.
