Structured has an immediate opening for a Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer to join our team located in the Pacific Northwest.
We are seeking a Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer to join our pre-sales engineering team and partner with Account Executives on complex infrastructure opportunities. This role is responsible for designing and architecting enterprise data center solutions across storage, compute, virtualization, data protection, disaster recovery, backup, replication, archiving, and hybrid cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will engage directly with customers to assess business and technical requirements, lead discovery sessions, develop solution architectures, and support infrastructure modernization initiatives. Key responsibilities include technical strategy development, solution design, sizing, BOM creation, proposal support, customer presentations, and vendor coordination throughout the sales cycle.
This consultative role requires deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies and strong customer-facing communication skills. Experience with platforms such as Everpure (formerly Pure Storage), NetApp, VMware, Nutanix, RedHat, Hyper-V, Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Microsoft Azure, AWS, and related technologies is preferred.
$150,000.00 – $187,500.00 (annually)

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in information systems or a related technical discipline required; or equivalent experience or at least 7 years’ experience in the data management industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 8+ years data center infrastructure engineering and at least 3+ years’ experience in a pre-post sales engineer, IT Infrastructure engineer or solutions engineering capacity at a VAR, OEM, or large enterprise.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams) and experience with CRM tools (Salesforce).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quotes and reports. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, to perform essential job functions such as corresponding, presenting information, and responding to questions from employees, management, vendors, and customers, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work is performed in both a general office environment, as well as a data center environment. Within the general office environment both the lighting and temperature are generally moderate. The data center environment is generally cool in temperature and the lighting is moderate; the noise level in the data center environment is generally loud.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and motor vehicle insurance (at least equal to the state’s minimum coverage requirements) and the ability to travel to customer locations and other destinations for meetings, or conferences including short to medium term projects. This position may also require an adjusted work schedule and evening hours in order to meet or attend vendor/customer needs. Flexibility to field phone calls, or system alerts and provide remote and/or on-site support to internal and external clients outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
