Ares Management Corporation is seeking a Senior Associate, Data Center Mechanical Engineering for North America. The role focuses on developing mechanical design strategies for data center projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and scalable systems, and coordinating with internal teams and external consultants across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in data centers or similar infra.
• Strong knowledge of cooling plants, chilled water systems, heat rejection, and air distribution.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Understanding of reliability, redundancy, and maintainability in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical design strategies for North America data center projects.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and security teams.
• Review mechanical designs for compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Evaluate cooling strategies and system configurations for reliability and energy goals.
• Support regional implementation and collaboration with global design standards.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and equipment selection.
