Job summary

Switch is seeking a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer to support critical infrastructure across data centers, optimizing power, water and cooling systems. You will lead RCA, availability analyses, and capital projects while coordinating with operations, design engineering and field teams.

Candidates should hold a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with PE preferred, and be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis. Remote/hybrid options are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with PE preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and MEP drawings.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct RCA, and document corrective actions for equipment failures.
  • Support operations as SME for issue resolution and event response.
  • Perform availability, capacity, efficiency and sustainability analyses for electrical systems.
  • Monitor data center performance trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead design feedback and serve as resident engineer for projects.
