Job summary

Talent Finest is seeking a Senior Data Center Fiber Technician for an on-site role in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will lead data center infrastructure deployments, coordinating with engineering, operations, and partners to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality outcomes.

The position requires 3+ years delivering complex data center projects, with strong expertise in rack integration, cabling, power, cooling, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years delivering data center, infrastructure, or technical implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, rack integration, structured cabling, network infrastructure, servers, power, cooling, and physical infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience managing complex deployments within enterprise, colocation, cloud, or hyperscale data centers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within fast-paced operational environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating external vendors, contractors, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• SITE LEADERSHIP: Develop and manage the daily execution plan for on-site teams with safe procedures and clear communication.
• QUALITY ASSURANCE: Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure delivery standards.
• DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING: Maintain detailed records of tasks, work orders, and issues.
• TROUBLESHOOTING: Provide direction and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues or implement workarounds.
• SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE: Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance for all personnel.
• COMMUNICATION: Act as liaison among site leads, technicians, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• ACCESS AND LDAP MANAGEMENT: Manage site access and LDAP activations, using internal tools.
