Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Texas seeks an experienced Senior Data Center Engineer to own technically demanding data center projects. You will deliver high-quality design support across electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, guiding design decisions from concept through delivery, while maintaining project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience designing MEP systems for buildings.
• Working knowledge of US codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design support for data center and critical building projects from design through delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, external design teams and BD colleagues to ensure scope alignment and timely delivery.
• Apply judgment to maintain technical quality and help identify scope/schedule changes that keep projects on track.

As a Senior Data Center Engineer at Black & White Engineering in Texas you will provide high-quality technical design support across critical buildings and infrastructure projects. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure that each project meets client requirements, applicable codes, standards, regulations, and our commitment to getting it right the first time.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience designing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, BMS, or fire-protection systems for a range of building types.
• Working knowledge of US legal and regulatory requirements, building codes, engineering standards, and industry procedures.
• Proficiency in Revit and other discipline-specific engineering design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word and Excel.
• Professional Engineer status (or working towards it).
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
