Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Senior Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on multiple campus projects.

You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers and Operations staff, manage budgets and schedules, and provide monthly executive-ready updates. Travel up to 25% may be required; US citizenship is required by contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint to communicate program updates to executives, and Excel to create and maintain site budgets.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design, preconstruction and construction activities on project(s).
• Interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Data Center Operations staff.
• Create and communicate updates on development program and project status for executive reviews.
• Manage budgets, schedules and cost-to-date; establish site master plans and multi-phased development plans.
• Write scopes of work, participate in procurement and cost estimates; review pay applications and change orders.
