Job summary

Amicus Talent Group is seeking a Senior Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning for large-scale, ground-up data center builds in the Chicago area. You will plan, coordinate, and execute all commissioning activities across critical MEP systems to ensure facilities are delivered fully tested and ready for operation.

The role requires deep data center infrastructure knowledge, strong project management, and proven experience in integrated testing, system validation, and turnover.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of commissioning or project management in large-scale data center or mission-critical projects.
• Strong technical expertise across electrical and mechanical systems with deep understanding of redundancy and reliability.
• Proven experience leading Integrated Systems Testing on ground-up data center projects.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in fast-paced construction environments.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously.
• Hands-on field presence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage commissioning plan from design review through IST and final turnover.
• Lead commissioning across MEP and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate testing, validation, and turnover with client and internal teams.
• Provide commissioning status reports and risk assessments to leadership and clients.
• Participate in project reviews and schedule coordination meetings.
