Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks a Principal Data Center Commissioning Engineer to support hyperscale data center projects in the Greater Abilene, Texas area. You will drive commissioning activities, coordinate with contractors and internal teams, and monitor safety, quality, and schedules across multiple sites.

You will be based in the Abilene region or nearby, with relocation considered. The role requires heavy on-site presence and travel, including relocation support from Oracle and a path

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience supporting construction execution on large-scale, complex projects.
• Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial construction or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, schedules and turnover docs.
• Proven ability to identify field risks, resolve issues, and communicate clearly.
• Strong safety, quality, punch-list, and turnover readiness knowledge.
• Onsite work with high field engagement and fast-paced delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction execution for assigned buildings or scopes.
• Coordinate with contractors, foremen, superintendents, and trade partners.
• Monitor progress, manpower, productivity, sequencing, and readiness.
• Ensure activities align with schedules, milestones, and turnover priorities.
• Identify risks, resolve field issues, and support recovery plans.
• Maintain site safety, QA/QC, and documentation of progress and logs.
• Track punch-lists, turnover readiness, and startup needs.
• Provide daily field reports and milestone updates.
