Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Constructability Engineer to embed into first-of-a-kind data center programs during design maturation, identifying constructability risks before they reach sites.

You will validate new construction methods, assess schedule and cost impacts, and translate innovations into fleet-wide standards for global infrastructure. The role emphasizes collaboration with product owners, construction teams, and manufacturers to ensure scalable, buildable solutions

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

• Embed into first-of-a-kind and new-product programs during design maturation to identify and resolve constructability risks before they reach sites.
• Run first-of-a-kind validation, vendor qualification, and deployment-readiness assessments to confirm new designs meet construction and operational requirements.
• Develop and validate new means and methods — prefabrication, modularization, new materials — and quantify their schedule, cost, quality, and carbon impact.
• Convert field-proven innovations into fleet standards by supporting basis-of-design intake and specification updates across the global infrastructure portfolio.
• Partner with product owners, construction management teams, and manufacturers on integration and buildability across products, driving consistency and technical alignment.
