Job summary

Uber Freight in Chicago seeks a Staff Data Products Engineer & Data Architect to lead enterprise data products and modern data architectures. You will shape data product strategies, govern data assets, and drive cloud modernization using GCP.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture.
5+ years designing cloud-native enterprise data platforms.
Proven experience building large-scale Data Products and Data-as-a-Service capabilities.
Experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of enterprise data products.
Define and implement scalable, governed data products.
Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
Drive Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and domain-driven data ownership adoption.
Define KPIs and success metrics for data product adoption and value realization.
Develop and maintain enterprise data architecture roadmaps.
Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives in Google Cloud.
Mentor engineering teams and lead architecture reviews.
