Disney Experiences (DX) seeks a Lead Data Engineer to drive enterprise data architecture, models, and integration patterns for cross-domain datasets. You will define standards, lead reviews, and guide scalable architecture initiatives across teams within the DX technology ecosystem.

You will collaborate in an agile setting, mentor teammates, and stay ahead of evolving data technologies to ensure robust metadata, lineage, and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in data architecture, modeling, or senior data engineering.
• Expertise in dimensional modeling, data vault, lakehouse at scale.
• Advanced SQL and data transformation tools (dbt, Spark).
• Extensive experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS cloud warehouses.
• Ability to define and enforce data modeling standards across teams.
• Comfortable in an agile environment and cross-functional collaboration.
• A visionary leader who fosters innovation and inclusion.
• Familiarity with required tech tools and eagerness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of enterprise data architecture, including models and schemas.
• Define data modeling standards, naming conventions, and patterns across domains.
• Design cross-domain data integrations for coherent datasets.
• Establish data dictionaries, lineage, and metadata standards.
• Lead data modeling reviews and complex schema decisions.
• Support estimation and planning for scalable data architecture projects.
• Stay current with new data modeling technologies and inform recommendations.
• Provide escalation support and guide ongoing data model enhancements.
