Job summary

Coverys, Inc. is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design and evolve our enterprise data platform, focusing on governance, cloud-based solutions, and scalable data pipelines in Snowflake.

You will partner with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and availability for analytics and decision-making. You will set modeling standards, drive ELT/ETL architecture, mentor the data engineering team, and oversee security, observability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in data architecture and data engineering, including technical leadership.
• Strong data modeling, conceptual/logical/physical, and enterprise data design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Strong SQL skills and large-scale data processing experience.
• Experience with data quality, metadata management, and lineage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of the enterprise data architecture and modeling standards.
• Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines in a cloud-native environment (Snowflake focus).
• Mentor the data engineering team and guide architecture reviews.
• Drive data governance, security, observability, and operational readiness of critical data products.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data structures.
