Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Information Technology Specialist II (Data Architect) to lead data collection, movement, storage, and processing for Big Data and ETL/Data Warehousing initiatives. This hybrid/remote role requires onsite presence and interviews at 150 E 42nd Street, NY.

You will translate business requirements into IT solutions, design architectures, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive data-driven improvements across platforms and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Ten years of related experience; healthcare technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that support business goals.
• Leads the review and design concepts for new systems and documents the technical design for integration and implementation.
• Coordinates the development of comprehensive business cases with cost, service and benefit dimensions for funding decisions.
• Analyzes client business processes and functional requirements and documents the information.
• Initiates and coordinates analysis of complex client needs in areas such as new business operating models or IT solutions.
• Leads cross-functional task forces to document requirements, workflow and system specifications.
• Develops efficient, cost-effective solutions that support business processes and evaluate existing applications.
• Advises clients on risks and provides ongoing risk assessment communication.
• Consults on solution alternatives within the Enterprise Architecture framework.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
