Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on data engineering, technical product management, or technical architecture experience.
• Strong domain knowledge of financial services with experience handling sensitive data in alternative investments.
• 8+ years of production-grade Python development for large-scale data processing and automation.
• 8+ years writing advanced SQL with complex queries and optimization.
• Snowflake deployment experience across AWS/Azure/GCP cloud ecosystems.
• End-to-end lifecycle delivery experience, release management, and Jira/Confluence usage.
• Experience designing automated reconciliation frameworks for financial data.
• Knowledge of Airflow and dbt for data orchestration and transformation.
• Regulatory/governance familiarity (SOC2, GDPR, BCBS 239) in buy-side/sell-side firms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Cloud-Native Data Platforms: Architect and maintain cloud data pipelines and datalake environments powered by Snowflake.
• ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Design automated, high-throughput data ingestions and transformations.
• Legacy Modernization & Migration: Lead migrations to modern data architectures with robust mappings and transformations.
• Data Quality & Integrity: Implement end-to-end data reconciliation and integrity checks for analytics and reporting.
• Roadmapping & Prioritization: Drive roadmaps, manage backlogs, balance features and technical debt.
• Full-Lifecycle Execution: Lead from requirements through design, development, testing, UAT, cutover, and go-live.
• Agile Orchestration: Translate strategy into epics, stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira.
