Job summary

American Express is seeking a data analytics professional to collect, clean, validate, and organize data across portfolios, projects, finances, operations, and technology delivery to support analysis and reporting.

You will create dashboards, reports, KPIs, and leadership-ready summaries for technology stakeholders, develop financial models and scenario analyses, and partner with technology, finance, product, and business teams to translate reporting needs into accurate outputs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in one of the specified fields completed before start date.
• Graduation date between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Interest or experience in data analytics, portfolio reporting, BI, or data-informed decision making.
• Foundational knowledge of data analytics concepts and visualization.
• Foundational understanding of financial management principles.
• Awareness of SDLC and Agile concepts in technology delivery.
• Foundational understanding of Generative AI concepts and human validation.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, organization, problem solving, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from diverse sources to support analysis and reporting.
• Analyze portfolio performance, budget, forecast, resource, delivery, schedule, quality, and risk.
• Create dashboards, reports, KPIs, recurring analytics outputs, and leadership-ready summaries.
• Develop financial models, cost views, forecast summaries, scenario analyses, and variance insights.
• Partner with technology, finance, product, project, and business teams to translate needs into outputs.
• Support SDLC and Agile reporting by analyzing delivery metrics, progress data, dependencies, and patterns.
• Prepare presentations and stakeholder updates that communicate data-backed insights.
• Use Agentic AI, reporting, data analytics, and productivity tools to support research and validation.
