Job summary

TECO Energy, Inc. seeks a Sr Data Scientist - Drone Diagnostics to advance analytics across the electric grid.

You will apply advanced statistics, ML and geospatial analysis to transform smart meter, grid and imagery data into actionable insights that guide maintenance and operations. You will lead data pipelines with OT/IT partners, mentor others, and help shape the Diagnostic Center's strategy, linking data science to reliability, safety and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in data science or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive data science/analytics experience; energy/utility sector favored.
• Strong programming, ML, geospatial analytics and communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics development to monitor grid performance using ML and statistical models.
• Coordinate data pipelines with OT/IT teams for large-scale grid data.
• Mentor teammates and translate analytical outputs for leadership and operations.
