You will mentor a team of analysts, quants, and data scientists, shape validation frameworks, and partner with business units to align analytics with strategy. This role blends technical rigor with leadership in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field with substantial data analytics experience.
• 5+ years of professional data analytics work.
• 5+ years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• 2+ years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Refine a new enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Plan and execute validation projects.
• Assess the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One and tool usage.
• Understand technical issues in analytical tools and identify risks/opportunities.
• Research and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytic tools.
• Communicate results clearly via validation reports and presentations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
