Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support an R&D Surgical PMO. You will build and enhance Power BI reporting solutions to improve visibility and decision-making.

Strong hands-on BI development, semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, and platform skills are required, including SQL/Snowflake, Git, and Power Platform tools. You’ll collaborate with SMEs to turn complex requirements into scalable dashboards, manage sprint work, and ensure data quality across reports in a regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of job-related experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years.
• 2+ years of Power BI development and data modeling experience.
• Strong Power BI dashboard/report development skills.
• Experience with star schema/dimensional modeling.
• DAX and Power Query (M) experience.
• SQL, Snowflake, and Git experience.
• Medical device industry experience and regulated environment exposure.
• Advanced Power BI visualization, UX, and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports for the Surgical PMO Compliance team within R&D.
• Translate business questions and KPI definitions into intuitive reporting.
• Build reusable semantic models using dimensional/star schema practices.
• Develop and optimize DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
• Create effective drill-down paths, filters, tooltips, and report interactions.
• Establish visualization standards and documentation.
• Troubleshoot refresh times, latency, model size, and performance.
• Partner with SMEs and end users to prototype, validate, and refine reporting.
• Participate in Git workflows, branching, PRs, and code reviews.
• Leverage SQL and Snowflake to support reporting and data validation.
• Use Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Lists for automation.
• Manage work through intake, sprint planning, and backlog processes.
• Drive alignment with stakeholders on KPI definitions and delivery plans.
• Independently structure ambiguous requirements and propose solutions.
• Continuously improve reporting processes, models, and documentation.
