M&C Saatchi USA is seeking a highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to support a federal contract. The role focuses on performance measurement, reporting, and data-driven decision support, leveraging Python, AWS data sources, and AI-enabled tools to deliver clear, well-documented analyses for government stakeholders.

You will partner with engineers, product and UX teams, and government stakeholders to shape answers to clients, validate outputs, and standardize data quality and reporting

Qualifications

M&C Saatchi USA is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Senior Data Analyst to support delivery of a federal contract. This role builds on core data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement while adding hands‑on work with Python, AWS data sources, and generative and LLM‑based systems.

THE ROLE

The Senior Data Analyst will lead performance measurement, reporting, and data‑driven decision support across the delivery team. The role will guide how data from databases, third‑party APIs, and Amazon S3 is gathered, organized, validated, and used for analysis and government reporting. Partnering closely with engineers, product and UX teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders, you will help shape answers to clients and user experiences. You will review data, test outputs against client needs, and turn complex questions into clear, well‑documented solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical judgment, Python and SQL skills, clear writing, and a consultative approach. They can lead through ambiguity, raise data quality and reporting standards, and help colleagues use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and refinement of KPI frameworks, measurement approaches, dashboards, reporting structures, and analytical methods aligned to mission and program objectives.
• Analyze performance, communications, outreach, digital, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and practical recommendations.
• Develop, review, and optimize SQL queries and data extracts; establish clear validation and reconciliation methods across multiple data sources.
• Guide Python‑based data workflows that collect, clean, organize, and update information from databases, third‑party APIs, files, and Amazon S3.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, or comparable AI‑assisted tools to support query development and analysis; set expectations for review, validation, documentation, and responsible use of outputs.
• Partner with product, UX, and engineering teams that use generative and LLM‑based systems, helping assess data inputs, test outputs, capture feedback, and improve client workflows.
• Establish practical standards for data quality, documentation, reporting consistency, and repeatable analytical processes across the delivery team.
• Lead the development of government‑facing reports, technical briefs, analytical narratives, and executive‑ready materials that clearly communicate methodology, findings, limitations, and recommendations.
• Work directly with client and delivery teams to frame ambiguous problems, evaluate options, and recommend creative, evidence‑based approaches that balance user needs, data availability, timelines, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor analysts and cross‑functional colleagues on Python, SQL, data quality, reporting discipline, and responsible use of AI‑enabled tools; support dashboards, performance analysis, and ad‑hoc decision support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, performance measurement, business intelligence, applied data science, or a related field.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience using scripts or workflows to support data collection, cleaning, reporting, and analysis.
• Strong SQL and relational data expertise, including the ability to design, validate, optimize, and explain complex queries and transformations.
• Demonstrated experience working with data from APIs, databases, files, and Amazon S3 or comparable cloud storage.
• Experience working in AWS or another cloud‑based data environment and familiarity with sound data quality, reporting, and technical documentation practices.
• Practical experience or strong interest in working with generative and LLM‑based systems in analytics, product, or client‑support workflows.
• Experience using Claude Code, Codex, or comparable AI‑assisted development tools with strong independent judgment, validation, review, and documentation practices.
• Demonstrated ability to write high‑quality reports, briefs, and analytical narratives for government or senior external stakeholders.
• Experience leading analytical work across multidisciplinary teams, translating client needs into actionable work, communicating delivery risks and tradeoffs, and applying a proactive, creative, and pragmatic approach to complex client problems.
• Must hold an active U.S. Government security clearance, as required by the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS data services or comparable cloud tools that support reporting and data workflows.
• Experience with Git workflows, testing practices, or repeatable data pipeline and reporting processes.
• Experience supporting federal government, public‑sector, mission‑driven, or security‑sensitive programs.
• Experience mentoring analysts or colleagues and establishing data quality, reporting, or delivery standards.

Educational Requirements:

BA or BS in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Marketing Analytics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Eligibility Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
• Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
• Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in‑depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use.
