Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate data acquisition and analyses as part of a multi-disciplinary research team.

  • Assist with manuscripts, grants, and regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations.
  • Maintain data infrastructure and track data assets; adhere to protocols.

Senior Data Analyst (HPM_mj)

Candidate's with a Master's Degree in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related field can have a minimum of 6 years' experience. Equivalent education/experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Candidate's with a Bachelor's Degree in health policy, economics, maternal and child health, epidemiology, or related field must also have at least 10 years of related work experience.

Job Summary

Oversees large, complex data sets and utilizes advanced programming methods and statistical software for raw data extraction and aggregation, statistical analysis, and document programming to create analytic data files. Creates statistical reports; assists with manuscripts, grants, and regulatory submissions. Maintains data infrastructure and tracks data assets. Adheres to all protocols.

Essential Functions
  • The position will work with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators, research assistants, and data analysts on research projects related to pregnancy health outcomes, with a particular focus on Medicaid populations. The data scientist will be responsible for coordinating data acquisition and analyses. Additionally, the data scientist will contribute to dissemination of research findings by participating in drafting publications and presentation materials. The candidate must possess experience with SAS, STATA or R programming and have a working knowledge of simple, descriptive statistical procedures. The candidate must also possess excellent scientific writing skills.
