Job summary

Capital One seeks a Data Analyst to leverage analytic and technical skills to build and maintain well‑managed data solutions and capabilities addressing business problems.

On a typical day you will work across Innovation, Business Intelligence, and Data Management to mine data, create dashboards, and ensure data quality and governance. A STEM degree and proficiency with Python/SQL are required, with AWS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus at least 2 years of data analytics experience or a Master’s degree with expected completion by start date.
• At least 1 year of experience with a scripting language.
• At least 1 year of experience using a business intelligence visualization tool.
• At least 1 year of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Innovate with open-source and cloud technologies to mine diverse data sources.
• Build managed data solutions and self-service capabilities for data users.
• Partner with the business to design dashboards and metrics for insights and decision making.
