Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. seeks a Senior Data Analyst to analyze customer behavior and report on marketing results. You will help define the direction of Customer Insights research and strategic marketing, working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, 3–5 years of analytics experience, and strong SQL plus knowledge of R or Python and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Travel may be required.

• Proficiency with at least 1 statistical analysis language (R or Python).

• Expertise in A/B testing methodology & design.

• Must be analytical and able to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute A/B testing strategies to optimize customers’ shopping journeys and drive incremental revenue.
• Segment the customer base and support targeted marketing strategies based on behavioral, preferential, and demographic data.
• Tailor segmentation analysis to support marketing team’s personalization and performance goals.
• Design & create visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate data insights to stakeholders.
• Define, track, and report on key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support development of customer-level predictive models and forecasting models.
• Conduct self-directed exploratory analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Pro, Ecommerce, Operations, Merchandising, and IT teams.

Senior Data Analyst

Department: Data Science & Customer Insights
Location: 100- Store Support Center Atlanta, GA
FLSA Status: Exempt
FTE Status: Full-Time

Purpose

This position is responsible for analyzing and reporting on customer behavior and the results of strategic marketing efforts. This position plays a key role in defining the direction of the Customer Insights research/analysis and strategic marketing.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, marketing, business, or a related quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing or customer analytics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Demonstrated expertise in SQL.
• Proficiency with at least 1 statistical analysis language (e.g., R, Python).
• Data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with AI-assisted analysis tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) to accelerate data exploration, modeling, and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills: able to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in A/B testing methodology & design.
• Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and automation tools (e.g., CDPs) is a plus.
• Understanding of lifecycle marketing channels & tactics (e.g., acquisition, retention/churn, lifetime value optimization, personalization).
• Must be highly analytical and able to provide a data-driven rationale for new projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with a team to execute tasks, drive projects, and achieve desired results.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
• Experience in the retail or home improvement industry preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop and execute A/B testing strategies to optimize customers’ shopping journeys and drive incremental revenue for the business.

• Conduct self-directed exploratory analysis of customer & marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Cross-functional collaboration with the Marketing, Pro, Ecommerce, Operations, Merchandising, and IT teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
• Drive improvement & enhancement of existing customer analytics, with a focus on empirical and incremental results.
• Be compliant with all appropriate Privacy Preferences and Security protocols.

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

• Travel may be required including air and car travel.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10-20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
