Job summary

Magna Legal Services seeks a Senior Data Analyst, BI, to lead and evolve our analytics program for Records Retrieval. You will partner with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable data solutions and deliver insightful reporting that informs decisions.

The role focuses on owning dashboards in Sigma, improving data quality, and shaping the analytics infrastructure. Strong SQL and Snowflake experience are highly valued, with clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related role.
Strong proficiency with SQL, including experience querying and analyzing large datasets.
Experience developing sophisticated dashboards and reporting solutions using Sigma or a comparable modern BI platform.
Experience working with cloud data warehouses; Snowflake strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into meaningful analysis and actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and data findings to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, manage competing priorities, and independently drive analytics initiatives from concept through delivery.
Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and visualization best practices is preferred.
Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives and translate needs into data solutions.
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Sigma for leaders and teams.
Use SQL to query and analyze data from multiple sources, including Snowflake.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, drivers, opportunities, and risks.
Establish and promote best practices for reporting, data governance, and metrics definitions.
Scale BI assets and reporting processes through standardization and automation.
Collaborate on data modeling and warehouse improvements in Snowflake.
Evaluate analytics tools and processes to improve BI effectiveness and efficiency.
