Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO), an Akima company, seeks an experienced Data Analyst to support complex data analysis, operations research, software integration and testing, and advanced analytics to advance mission objectives.

You will apply statistical methods, work with SQL/NoSQL data, APIs, ETL pipelines, and Python/R to extract insights, develop models, and deliver data-driven recommendations for program success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for Master's.
• 10 years of experience in operations research is preferred.
• Experience with data science, data mining, analytics, or statistics.
• Experience with software integration and testing.
• Experience with Python and R.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, APIs, ETL pipelines.
• Experience with data science tools like Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy.

Responsibilities

• Apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts to analyze data and derive insights.
• Develop analytical methodologies, models, and techniques to support data-driven decisions.
• Perform software integration and testing, including test plans and scripts.
• Use Python and R for data analysis and advanced analytics.
• Utilize data science packages such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy.
• Develop and maintain SQL/NoSQL data access and manipulation.
• Support API development and data exchange.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and solutions.
• Document methodologies, findings, and results.
