Job summary

Circle is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our financial reporting team. You’ll partner with product, treasury, finance, and accounting to ensure regulatory requirements are met and financial information is well organized and understandable.

You will build scalable automated solutions using SQL, Superset, scripting languages, and AI, and help stakeholders understand how our financial systems work. The right candidate has a deep analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering).
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, treasury, finance, and accounting to design data requirements and a reporting layer that meets regulatory requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of our finances and accounting to make the inner workings transparent.
• Build frameworks and systems to detect issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Build scalable automated solutions using SQL, Superset, other reporting tools, scripting languages, and AI.
• Share results with larger audiences to educate on the inner workings of engineering and financial systems.
• Collaborate with accounting and treasury to solve data problems arising from new opportunities and regulations.

As a Senior Data Analyst working on financial reporting at Circle, you’ll work closely with our product, treasury, finance, and accounting teams to ensure that we meet our reporting and regulatory requirements and continue to be a trusted, compliant actor in the crypto ecosystem. You will also work to make sure that the most important financial information we track is well organized and understandable. You’ll also have the opportunity to draw insights from our rich data and help make sure that our teams are looking at these important problems in the right ways. What you'll work on:

• Partner with teams across the company to understand how their products will affect our reporting duties and partner with these teams, accounting, treasury, finance, and data engineering to design data requirements, data models, business logic, and a reporting layer that helps us track and verify that we are meeting our regulatory requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of how we think about our finances and accounting and partner with teams to make the inner workings transparent.
• Build the frameworks and systems that help us see when something might be going wrong and help lead the charge to fix these immediate problems and design solutions that keep these problems from happening again.
• Build scalable automated solutions utilizing SQL, Superset, other reporting tools, scripting languages, and AI.
• Occasionally share your results with larger audiences to educate them on the inner workings of our engineering and financial systems.
• Partner with accounting and treasury to solve important data problems that arise as new opportunities and regulations arise.
